Summer mix and match

With all the joy and happiness that summer evokes, there is something that can be quite annoying for all the fashionistas out there. How to make a statement look and express your  own individuality, When it’s so hot and humid outside.
Quite often I find myself tending to wear the same denim short and a breezy light shirt, for braving the hot temperature.
But I do believe that there are creative ways to pull off summer look without looking scruffy. Thinking out of the box, and literally don’t be not afraid to sweat a bit….

Mix of prints:
I decided to wear this gingham boxy fit top with a tile printed skirt in a soft and airy breathable garment. The boxy top and the flowy skirt create the perfect balance. The one print on top and a different one on bottom is also a great way to create an optical illusion and flattering your body, and of course it’s a great way to make a stylish statement, without putting too much efforts in to it.
For bohemian touch, I added a fringe bag and gladiator strappy gladiator sandals.

Hello sunshine (and maxi skirt)

I really like the bohemian look and maxi skirts are always great choise for building a boho summer outfit. There is something about the breezy easy pieces that attracted me so much. The skirt I wore  is light enough for the hottest day, yet chic and cool. Because of the sheer fabric I paired it with a mini skirt underneath. The light blue colour make the polka dots prints pop up. This trend can be also worn with nude underwear, for these women who are brave enough…

Polka dots and abstract floral prints

As you can see from my previous post, I love prints in any shape and size. My favourite prints is polka dots and florals (actually leopard prints can works too… ) I couldn’t make up my mind which kind of prints to wear, so I decided to wear them both! I don’t believe that there are rules of what goes with what. It’s good to try on clothes and find new combos. Sometimes you will be surprise by how unexpected mix of prints can look great together.

I decided to take a risk and wear the abstract floral printed blazer with a polka dot dress, which I wore as a top. The faux leather baggy pants gives a little bit of edginess to the cute prints.Because of the roomy silhouette, I tucked in my shirt/dress. This allowed me to emphasized the waistline to create an effortlessly stylish look.
