Summer mix and match

With all the joy and happiness that summer evokes, there is something that can be quite annoying for all the fashionistas out there. How to make a statement look and express your  own individuality, When it’s so hot and humid outside.
Quite often I find myself tending to wear the same denim short and a breezy light shirt, for braving the hot temperature.
But I do believe that there are creative ways to pull off summer look without looking scruffy. Thinking out of the box, and literally don’t be not afraid to sweat a bit….

Mix of prints:
I decided to wear this gingham boxy fit top with a tile printed skirt in a soft and airy breathable garment. The boxy top and the flowy skirt create the perfect balance. The one print on top and a different one on bottom is also a great way to create an optical illusion and flattering your body, and of course it’s a great way to make a stylish statement, without putting too much efforts in to it.
For bohemian touch, I added a fringe bag and gladiator strappy gladiator sandals.

Essential pieces for Fall 2015

Fall is just around the corner and unfortunately it’s just a matter of time before we will start wearing cozy sweatshirt, boots and warm jackets. Luckily I love the earthy shades of the fall: khaki, camel, bold red and deep burgundy, along with grey and black are the hottest colours this season.

The perfect pieces for a trendy 70s boho look

Recently I found two essential pieces that makes my heart beat faster: midi accordion pleated skirt and lace up shoes both from Zara. These pieces as this 70s’ boho inspired feel. I love the fact that it super easy to wear them, separately or together for casual day look.

There is nothing like an eye-catching shoe to upgrade your Fall outfit. The lace-up heels, provide a feminine and elegant touch that combine perfectly with the boho pleated skirt and the crop pleated top. I think that the voluminous trapeze shape top add a lot of swing and it’s versatile for many styles options.

5 Fashion Tips to Help Busy Moms look fashionable

The weather is finally heating up and this is the best time to prepare our wardrobe for the upcoming summer.

Luckily summer 2015 trends have become more comfortable and practical,  which is the perfect fit for a busy mom like myself.

With just a little effort, you can pick your favourite trend and look fashionable and trendy without loosing the comfort zone.

Here are my 5 fashion and comfy tips for this summer for Busy Moms:

1. The denim trend

As you have seen in my previous blog , denim is the hottest trend this season and it’s one of my favourite outfit as it is easy to wear. This trend is now everywhere, from the runway to the street style.

Don’t be afraid to wear head to toe denim. The combination  between light washes and dark ones is a great option. You have so many option to wear this versatile fabric, just pick your preference from wide range like dresses, jumpsuits, shirts, skirts or jeans.

2. The Bohemian dresses

Stepping straight out from the 70s, the maxi flowing dresses are making a comeback. The breezy dress is perfect for the hot summer days and it’s comfortable enough for running after your kids at home and outside. Inspired by the hippie-chic look, the bohemian maxi dress is so easy to pull off, especially on these busy days, when you don’t have an extra time to decide what to wear.

Fringe is all over the place this summer, and I am already obsessed with this trend. You can find fringe on everything, from bag, jacket, shoes or skirt. This is a great way to inject some movement without going overboard. Add some fringe and you instantly look trendy and up to date.

4. Sporty shoes

The sneakers continue to be a huge trend. It is a must have piece the every woman needs in her closet. The great news is that you don’t have to scarifying your comfort for fashion. The sporty trend had been seen every where. Many designers saw the potential of these sneakers, especially in these busy modern life, so don’t be afraid to match your feminine skirt with a pair of sporty shoes or slip on sneakers. There is something modern and super cool about these shoes, which I as a city girl who like to explore the area by foot really adore.

5. Flare Trousers

Another 70s trend is the flare trousers, which means that you don’t have to squeeze into a skinny pants or jeans anymore. If you have a pair of wide-leg trousers, take them out of your closets and if not, this is the perfect timing to go for a shopping spree.

The best way is to teamed it with a loosely tucked shirt and you will look stylish but comfortable.

Hello sunshine (and maxi skirt)

I really like the bohemian look and maxi skirts are always great choise for building a boho summer outfit. There is something about the breezy easy pieces that attracted me so much. The skirt I wore  is light enough for the hottest day, yet chic and cool. Because of the sheer fabric I paired it with a mini skirt underneath. The light blue colour make the polka dots prints pop up. This trend can be also worn with nude underwear, for these women who are brave enough…

White kimono

The long kimono jacket is (also) one of my favourite piece this summer. Kimono is the absolute bohemian statement piece and it’s a great  way to add singularity, and of course stylish boho touch to any casual look.  The first time is saw this lightweight, knee-length white kimono was when I cross by Urban Outfitters  store and saw it on their display. It was defiantly love at the first sight.
