It’s been a pretty relaxed long weekend for me. The sun was out ( I think the summer is just around the corner) and the beach was calling us… I am not a beach person but even so, getting the family together and having a fun day at the beach, was such a great idea.
If to be honest, when it’s come to sea and sunshine, I am suffering from lack of beach clothing. I have so many evening pieces but only one pair of denim shorts and swimsuit! Isn’t it funny ?
What I wear to the beach
These denim culottes has been the best summer purchase by far. The ’70s inspired silhouette is surprisingly wearable and looks great with everything. It chic enough for the city life and comfortable enough for summer days at the beach.
I paired it with a black fringe tank. I love the crocheted embellishment at the neckline and the fringe which add a chic touch.
This look couldn’t complete without the most trendy item this summer: Gladiator sandals.
This season gladiator sandals have been popping up everywhere from runways to the street. I am not a big fan of the extreme gladiators but I totally love the simple straps, which look amazing with summer pieces like breezy dresses and denim shorts.
My new Zara’s flat gladiator are totally suitable for a hot day at the beach.
I finished the look with Micheal Kors’s orange bag. I love the splash of vivid colour, especially against denim.
