Toronto starts to cool down and the weather becomes pleasantly cool. In the last few days it felt like a real fall, what means replacing my flowy skirts and airy pants for a leather culottes. Culottes are a perfect choice for in between season, and these leather ones are a great way to add a touch of hard edged structure this fall.
Fall fashion is inspired from the 70s, but the influence are more from the folkloristic aspect. This season the vibe has gone more bohemian than glam rock or disco. I absolutely fell in love with this patchwork sweatshirt from Zara, from the moment I tried it in the store.
Patchwork detailing is currently very trendy. Highly appreciated designers filled the runways with retro bohemian references and introduced their interpretation to the patchwork prints through their’s AW 2015 collection. I totally love how the patchwork detailing gives off a vintage chic vibe while the leather pants, the studded bag and the oxford shoes, which I paired with, added cool and modern twist, and upgrade the look without any efforts.
