The current weather in Toronto is just perfect, with a cool to warm sunny early fall. The air is crisp and the colours of the leaves are so pretty, especially when they fall on the ground. I wish it could stay like this all year. Can we skip the winter??
For these cooler days ahead, here are some tips of what to wear:
For fall I prefer oxford or loafer shoes. I think that they are versatile and also look seriously chic with feminine pieces like dresses, full skirts, and skinny jeans.
Adding a jacket or light cardigan over a summer dresses will take them into fall. Leather jacket for example, is a fall staple piece because it add the cool effect to any outfit and it set the tone for fall wardrobe.
I love the colour scheme of the current season, warm, earthy and rich tones that remind me the colours of the autumn leaves. Burgundy, cobalt blue and burnt orange are my favourite shades right now. You can inject some of these colours into any item or accessories and mix between textures for an up-to-date look.
Here is what I wore:
I got this sleeveless midi dress with a fitted silhouette from Urban Outfitters and paired it with a faux leather jacket, which create an edgy but chic look. One of my favourite ‘borrowed from the boys’ trends are the oxford shoes. I love how they add contrast to the feminine dress. These new retro cool pair from Aldo completed the look perfectly. They become my everyday pair. I just can’t take them off….
