Thanks to Toronto Fashion Week, I discovered two talented Canadian designers: LAMARQUE and Ellie Mae, both are young and ambition women, who creating clothes that suit for the lifestyle of a fashion loving modern woman.
LAMARQUE was establish in 2012, The Montreal based fashion house design luxury and fashion forward pieces, with a timeless approach created by the fashion designer Ifigenia Papadimitriou.
The Fall Winter 2016 collection was dominated by a lot of leather and suede, but not only, lace and silk fabric, which was also an integral part of the current collection, created the perfect balance between edginess and a femininity, that I totally adore.
I appreciate the attention to all the little details which you can see in the thoughtfully designed collection. Each piece is hand cut and hand stitched, but in the same time versatile and wearable.
There were several pieces that I was defiantly become obsessed with, the red burgundy lace dress with the black leather belt and the shorts leather pants with the floral pattern embroidery on the bottom.
Ellie Mae, the Toronto-based designer, established her label in 2015. The modern street style desighns included relevant and wearable pieces, which made from fine fabrics and extraordinary details. I am always been a big fun of casual street style outfits, and Ellie Mae’s outwear collection just made it perfectly, by using different fabrics, shapes, and patterns.
The Fall Winter 2016 collection is focusing on outerwear pieces, that every woman needs in her wardrobe. From electric pattern to classy pieces like structured jackets, cardigans or fur coats. There was something so magnetic and refreshing in her runway show.
I particularly love the unique fur jacket with the cool jeans and sneakers, which created an unexpected combination.
